Jennifer Riddle, MS, tLPC-MHSP
Jennifer Riddle is a provisionally licensed mental health counselor at East Memphis. She strives to create a safe space for clients to process any experiences in their lives that have impacted the way they think, feel, and act in the world. Traumatic experiences (big and small) affect the way we see ourselves and the world and her job is to help clients understand how to change outdated ways of thinking and acting that no longer serve them.
Jennifer has experience working with clients who identify as LGBTQ+ and/or disabled, as well as those experiencing trauma symptoms (including C-PTSD), identity development concerns, mood disorders (e.g., depression, anxiety), gender dysphoria, dissociative symptoms, and more.
Her theoretical orientation is centered around humanism, which focuses on the client as a whole person, rather than just their symptoms. Some approaches she often utilize include Trauma-focused-CBT, Strengths-Based, Mindfulness, Person-Centered, Solution-Focused, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT).
Jennifer is a native Memphian. In her free time, she enjoys playing video games, reading, and walking with her two dogs at the park.
