Heather Brooke, LPC
Heather Brooke is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Colorado, Georgia, and Tennessee and a life coach, as well as a board-certified telemental health therapist (BC-TMH), a certified sex therapy-informed professional, a neurofeedback specialist, and a certified LPCC supervisor for LPCCs seeking licensure in Colorado.
With over ten years of experience, she currently offers teletherapy for individuals ages four and older in Colorado, Georgia, and Tennessee and in-person sessions for individuals in Tennessee. In addition to individual therapy, she also works with couples, families, and groups. She offers neurofeedback intensives and life coaching nationwide.
Heather was born and raised in Central Texas and called Colorado home for over 16 years prior to relocating to Tennessee in 2022. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and an Associate of Arts in Business from the University of Phoenix, as well as a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University. She is a member of the Chi Sigma Iota National and Professional Honor Society, as well as the Colorado Counseling Association and the National Board of Certified Counselors.
Heather received an award in the Children’s Book category at The InspireU Awards Ceremony held on October 7, 2023. In a heartfelt moment during her speech, Heather expressed deep gratitude and humility, attributing her book's success as the author of "Where's My Hair? A Trichotillomania Story for Children," to a higher purpose and divine intervention. As a therapist, she openly shared her personal journey dealing with trichotillomania, a hair-pulling disorder, and how her prayer to overcome it was answered in a different way than expected—through writing a book that now brings solace and support to countless children. This touching moment highlighted the power of turning personal challenges into a source of inspiration and support for others, beautifully reflecting Heather's compassion and resilience in her work at Forward Counseling. Heather is also the co-author of "Reigning Resilient Queens" (currently in production). She is also a public speaker and brand ambassador.
Heather is the mom of two girls, resides in Tennessee, and has pets (Bichon/Aussiedodle, Kobe, and a German Shepherd, Shadow). In her free time, she enjoys spending time in her faith with her family, traveling (the beach is her happy place), going to concerts, camping, hiking, spending time at the lake, snowboarding, modeling, and acting.
Kathelene White, LMSW
Kathelene White is a therapist from South Carolina who has spent most of her life in Jackson. She prides herself in being an intentional, passionate, funny and open-minded counselor who creates a genuine and safe space for her clients.
Kathelene’s specialties include working with children and adolescents, those experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life changes, or grief, and those with dual-diagnoses. Her previous role was at the Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse, where she counseled children and adults who have experienced severe abuse. She also has experience working with new mothers at Healthy Start, young adults, and older adults in an inpatient setting. She has also worked as a facilitator of recovery groups at Day Reporting Center/Community Resource Center in Jackson.
Kathelene believes that everyone deserves to have a safe place to work through the challenges life brings. Whether you’re coming in with a specific goal in mind or want to establish those along the way, her role is to meet you where you are.
Richard Wanderman, MD, FAAP
Dr. Wanderman is a health advocate and doctor who utilizes progressive and effective techniques and considers his clients’ health from a Holistic Perspective. He believes that healing occurs when the whole person—body, mind, and emotions, are considered.
Dr. Wanderman has been in practice for over 45 years. His philosophy of practice is that there must be a partnership between patient and practitioner with open communication going both ways. He uses conventional medicine as well as nutrition, vitamins and supplements, and incorporate other alternative modalities when needed. His concern is overall health, and his goals are to keep clients off of medication whenever possible, and to teach clients how to be and stay at their healthiest.
Cinda Gee, LPC-MHSP
Cinda is a licensed therapist with 12 years of experience and a passion for working with individuals who have experienced trauma and crisis, including individuals traumatized in childhood from physical and/or sexual abuse, individuals traumatized as adults by violent situations such as combat, law enforcement work, relational violence, sexual violence, and natural disasters. Cinda is a veteran of 24 years of military service, and a survivor of childhood trauma herself.
Cinda is also experienced in working with adults who are experiencing other challenges including dissociation, profound grief, divorce, adjustment, depression, anxiety, job loss, family dysfunction, gender issues and other life complications. While many of these issues are serious, Cinda believes in a healing approach - that with help, people can move beyond pain and struggle into wholeness, and even joy. Cinda is trained and experienced in the use of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), RTR (Rapid Trauma Resolution), and CBT (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy), along with a number of other modalities, including substantial understanding of the neuroscience of the brain and genetics.
Cinda’s theoretical foundation is psycho-dynamic and developmental, with a strong helping of Existential Theory which teaches that finding meaning is crucial to hope, survival and dignity. Because finding meaning is for many a spiritual journey, Cinda, although a devout Christian, has extensive knowledge of various religions and is able to assist individuals walk through their own faith journey. Cinda interweaves all techniques and modalities into seamless integration, customized for each person.
During her military service, Cinda was a US Air Force technician and supervisor of maintenance shops, repairing technology on high-performance aircraft. Cinda was stationed around the country and in Europe, including a tour with NATO. Cinda completed an Associate’s degree in Avionics Systems Technology through a community college. After retiring from military service, she completed a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology in 2006, followed by a Master’s of Science degree in Professional Counseling from Freed-Hardeman University in 2008. Cinda completed practicum training at Jackson-Madison General Hospital with the Chaplain’s office and with Pathways Residential Services. Cinda has been licensed as a Professional Counselor and Mental Health Service Provider since February 2011, and has been a clinical program manager of WRAP, a victim service agency serving 19 counties, since 2013. Cinda is a Nationally Certified Counselor.
